Frozen Rats – Descriptions

Pinky (1–8 grams)
Newborn rats, hairless and blind. Best suited for hatchling reptiles or very small predators requiring tiny prey.

Fuzzy (9–19 grams)
Slightly older, with thin fur and closed eyes. Great for young snakes or reptiles transitioning from mice to rats.

Pup (20–29 grams)
Baby rats with full fur but still small in size. Ideal for growing snakes or carnivorous mammals not ready for larger prey.

Weanling (30–44 grams)
Juvenile rats, independent from their mother but not yet adult size. A popular size for mid-sized snakes and other exotics.

Small (45–84 grams)
Young adult rats. A good feeder size for many medium to large reptiles, birds of prey, and other exotic pets.

Medium (85–174 grams)
Full-grown rats, standard feeding size for large reptiles. One of the most commonly used sizes in zoos and large collections.

Large (175–274 grams)
Hefty adult rats with substantial weight. Ideal for big snakes, monitor lizards, or other large carnivores.

XL (275+ grams)
Extra-large rats. Reserved for the biggest snakes or animals needing a serious meal in a single feeding.
